Three of my grandparents escaped from Lithuania to get here, the 4th from the
Ukraine in Russia. One pair settled in Arkansas, one pair settled in Chicago.
Plus, my mother's father was my father's mother's brother--my parents are
first cousins (though that has more to do with old country shetl practices
than Arkansas hillbilly --I'm from the flatlands of Arkansas off the
Mississippi River Delta).

I've yet to be K awakened. Perhaps because of the heavy meat and dairy diet
of the Eastern Europeans, but more likely due to my own slowness of process
and discovery.
