Ja. Ek is Suid Afrikaans.
My ancestry on my mother's side is Dutch, with one
exception, a Welsh great-great grandmother, and, I
believe, one French Huguenot somewhere. I am English
on the other side.
So I am South African because of the Dutch East India
company to which you refer.
