Subject: [K-list] double dutch

I always though double dutch was a type of jumping rope...two people
jumping rope at the same time with the same rope...at least from
being a yank little kid perspective. it's a lot of fun....school
ground memories

sometimes it means two long jump ropes going at the same time, with
more than one kid jumping, doing special moves... there are even
competitions for kids around it.... gets pretty fancy and fast

Dutch treat is to share it...

going Dutch...sharing the cost

sounds like it means the Dutch are thrifty and sensible....

but then there is double Dutch chocolate and
cocoa....mmmm...luxurious...

we still call school for little people kinder garten...

yankee perceptions....

ps... we do have a town named Holland in Michigan that takes great
pride in it's heritage....
