Hi Jennifer
My name is Sudipt and I am an airline pilot. I fly for Air India and about a
year ago, I had a very mild K-awakening.Just a dream, in which I "spoke" to
someone about my emotions regarding someone I know. I answered " Well, I
love" that person and then a white light burst through my sleeping "brain"
with a very intense physical sensation, like a warm soft thread being pulled
through the centre of your brain ( weird description, but then, it is true
:o)).

Now for the last one year I have had mild currents every where, cold
currents in the spine and about 70 percent of the classic symptoms.

I have been pretty much open minded about religion, though never prayed or
anything. That has helped me keep a lid of rationality over the whole
issue.I can now relate with much of the "rituals" of Hinduism, knowing
experientially the basis for such rites.

Your best bet would be to get a book on Ayurveda. Robert e Svoboda writes
well, and has written 3 books so far. Shamballa publications will be a good
bet.
You can go to the Himalayan Institute ( It is uptown, somewhere near 7th)and
pick up a good collection of books that will help you deal with whatever
questions that enter your mind.

Your basic prolem will be relating with the energy flows through your neural
system. Ayurveda, with its dietary regimen , will be a big help to you.It
is very systematic.

You will need to come to a full understanding of what has happened to you,
and then opt for an appropiate lifestyle to help you live judiciously.
K-awakening can "drive" you beyond normal limits of human behaviour, so you
have to have A VERY DISCRIMINATORY and well reasoned out course of living.

Oh yes, you will probably have to stop meditating for a while, and
incorporate the elements of meditation into your every day living, like
being contemplative and easy going in all your interactins.Active meditation
aggravates the symptoms, from what I have read and heard. I myself don't
meditate.
All the best
regards
sudipt
