Appreciate your response very much... was wondering how long you would hold
out. (:-))))
I have in fact done such a thing some four years ago... but I will do as you
suggest again, in due time, and soon. Count on it.
I can tell you, the NDEs have stopped. As you, I believe, suggested that
they will or would.
It came to an occurrence some two weeks ago where the tube like sucking
quality that is (was) always so distinguishable in my NDEs - now this is
hard to express as the experience of movement in space and time, the
'suction' or 'going anywhere' has disappeared - disappeared. (A reiteration
in language, interesting, - language, reiterations ad infinitum-)
There is now (?) only a very simple whiteness, an unconditioned background
or sub-stratum so to speak on which all-this-that-moves, ripplingly moves.
In retrospect there is now (there is a foreverness or timelessness in this
word 'now') - there is 'now' a lack of urgency to complete something... I
can say: "This universe has stopped to expand." This concept has lost its
meaning. (As an aside, there is quite a nice science problem in this: "Why
is space dark?") The preponderance of that lightlessness has disappeared,
darkness no more. It is only there conceptually in the 'common world -
common sense' that I share with non-realized. (Ouch)
Oh, this sounds like so much BS. But there you go. Who's to judge, it is the
judged who judge themselves and formulate their sentence, self flagellation.
Still more BS, but then.
I attempt to keep talking in common terms. Can be Ramana-esque, sit and
be... and i am that unless prompted... to do otherwise...
I have previously tried to express the idea of a kind of double vision that
we (folks)commonly live by. I think i used the word spiritual or mental
astigmatism. We (folks) are not congruent with ourselves but walking a bit
beside ourselves... Consciousness, the way most commonly described, is in
fact symptomatic of disease. We ought not to be conscious. We ought not to
have to be conscious, the witness state, the observer, is the last remnant
of the disease of not being self. Ascribing consciousness to God is even
absurd. To describe God is even absurd. Simple directness, immediacy of
being. It is a state of mental and spiritual astigmatism we use to converse,
ill mindedness. Conversing is a disease, mentalizing is a disease. Cosmic
consciousness?
Mind is symptomatic of the dis-ease of not being.
There you have it, if I may say so.
This may sound so judgemental... great compassion underlying all this.
What samadhi this? Simplicity of being, permeating unconditionality?
I aim for a certain frankness. A foolish self exhibition perhaps, people
like me are usually called, "Such a bore". Be that as it may, I want it to
serve a purpose, it will make sense to somebody who will say, "Hey, I am not
alone in this."
