Tell us a bit about those "stunning perceptions", there maybe something to
it! We might be able to correlate and corroborate experiences and
perceptions.

"Exactly the point!"
Or to say it otherwise:
"Fuzzily, does that not seem to be the area of interest?"

What is being rational but being irrational?

Remember, the Latin word "ratio" has to do with set(s) of relative
proportions.
Merriam Webster Dictionary:
a : the indicated quotient of two mathematical expressions
b : the relationship in quantity, amount, or size between
two or more things: proportion.

Let's carry on with this discussion about the borderline between rational
and irrational.
But we cannot do that without taking our visionary perceptions (the result
of making sense of that borderline between rational and irrational)
seriously.
What is so extraordinary about visionary perceptions is, that - to the
experiencer - they feel to discover an intenser truth than other sense
perceptions (measurements). And it seems that ppl. who did not have those
intenser 'truth epiphanies' will off-hand deny even the possibility of that
intensity. It is nowadays so good that science has moved into this area.
Certainty/uncertainty has become one of the underpinnings of new scientific
rediscovery and research. Physics and metaphysics cover 'the whole shebang'.

Anahata,
The unstruck.
In our Heart (Chakra)
We are resourced
To that primal core of being,
Shebang, hebang, big bang or whatever bang of being

Love,
Wim
