I could hardly believe it when I came across so many people with
stories which echoed my own experience 26 years ago. I have been
searching on and off during those 26 years for an explanation of what
happened, and I have been doing various practices and meditation and
joined a variety of groups to no avail.
Now at least I know.
The question is, what do I do now? And this is where I would
appreciate advice.
When Kundalini was aroused in me, my daughter was about seven years
old and I now think she could not fail to have been affected also.
The process was strong in me for more than 12 months, and the
experience I could only describe as blissful. I felt at the time that
my children benefited too.
The problem is that when it faded it left me with various problems
which I had always thought were stress-related and some years ago my
daughter was diagnosed as manic depressive. Only now do I realise
there may be a relationship between her condition and the experience
26 years ago.
Lately I have gained some benefit from more intensive Iyengar yoga
and Vipassana meditation. I am now considering approaching a Sikh
Kundalini teacher in my home town. I am now 65 and figure that I can
handle things much better than I could 26 years ago and also that
this might be of benefit to my daughter.
I would greatly appreciate any opinions from those more experienced
in this area than I.
