I don't know anything about being buddhaful but I have been accused
many times of being unfeeling and insensitive to world sufferring and
the sufferring of those around me. I think the greater 'kindness' is
non-intervention in the lives of others... maybe I will help if they
ask.

I have been accused of being amoral and selfish and I am. "You just
don't understand" people whine at me..... oh yes, but I do
understand...

what a bloody kettle of fish you may be opening, Wim...

I remember, two years after the last horrible big earthquake in San
Francisco a friend and I were driving across one of the bridges. I
started shivering and hearing screams and claustrophobia and panic
and
fear and... I couldn't get off that bridge fast enough.

I realized I was hearing the echoes of the people who were crushed
between the collapsed highway bridges... I remember that when people
tell me how insensitive and unfeeling I am.

If you go to San Francisco you can see one of the bridges still
pancaked together left as a memorium for the people who are still
inside, crushed in their cars.
