Hillary,

Your list of "triggers" really got me thinking. I would have put myself in
the "extreme mental stress" category due to a dysfunctional romantic
relationship I was having with my next-door neighbor when my K became
active.

BUT, even though I never meditated, I had a cassette tape called "Chakra
Breathing," which I listened to while falling asleep at night. It was a
breathwork/meditation tape. Usually I would fall asleep about five minutes
into the tape. Sometimes I would wake up as the tape was ending and feel
like I had been on another planet somewhere. I honestly don't know why I
continued to listen to this tape considering all the strange experiences it
was causing. Anyway, I've since wondered if that tape permeated my
consciousness and caused K to rise.

Another thing: I went to grad school for creative writing, and spent about
four or five years writing fiction seriously. I was very dedicated (less
dedicated now :) One of my techniques for writing was to record my dreams in
detail every morning. After doing this for several years I came to
understand how I was, and all people are, incredibly creative. I wanted SO
MUCH to tap into that creativity and use it for my writing. I think my
higher self knew how to do that with K. So maybe that's the reason I
awakened. As they say: "Be careful what you wish for, cuz you might get it!"

I still want to use my new creative energy for fiction writing. I just have
to let it settle down first.
