Hi Jay,

I have found that stuck K energy can often be released and normalized
by engaging in daily physical exercise. Not too heavy, just a good
long walk or something similar every day. I know it sounds pretty
mundane, but it can work wonders for stuck K energy. In fact, a lot
of K problems can be reduced just by having a balanced daily routine
in all respects. Often times, K blockages are an exaggerated version
of the everyday stresses and imbalances we are all subject too, only
we K people get them magnified. Fortunately, many of the same
solutions for everyday life imbalances are applicable to K problems
as well. I don't know if your asthma creates a problem for going
outside and walking, etc., but if it does not, you might want to give
it a try for a few days and see if you feel better. Extended light
exercise helps clear the mind and emotions as well, which are part of
it. I found that some yelling and allowing other spontaneous
expressions of release while taking those long walks helps too. Then
the neighbors tend to think I'm crazy, but what do they know? So I
usually walk where there is no one around. :-)

I'd suggest yoga asanas too, but that is a longer term solution which
produces slower results, but ultimately deeper ones. My experience
with asanas has been that they are not the best way to solve an
immediate crisis. The same goes for pranayama, which can even
irritate an extreme K energy imbalance. But again, over the long run,
asanas and pranayama are good for stabilizing K. The same can be said
for daily deep meditation, a primary practice in my program. But it
sounds like you need some immediate relief, so get out there in the
fresh air and see if you can and work it out by moving the body
briskly for 20-30 minutes for a few days. That's what I've done with
pretty good success, and I have had some nasty blockages in the past
similar to what you describe. I walk or bike 4-5 times a week just to
smooth out my K energies. It helps a lot.
 
It goes without saying that you need to be sure you don't have a
serious medical problem before you start doing all sorts of physical
things.
