to the author, hitting reply sends the post to the list and the
author. Nice if you snip out the author addresses if you send a post
to the list, so the author doesn't get multiple copes. This is how
the list has always been set up. No glitch, nothing to be fixed.

Hi Mystress,

I use "Web Only," where the only option is "Reply," and the default
is to the person's email to whom I am replying. If I don't remember
to pull down the box and select the list address, it doesn't go to
the list, only to the person. There is no option for both. Since this
is a list, shouldn't the default address be to the list rather than a
person? All the other lists I have seen on egroups are list address
default.

Anyway, I've learned to change the address each time I respond, but
still get notes sometimes from others who make the same mistake I
did. I bet there is a lot of this going on with new people arriving
on the list.

I think you will find more and more people using the web only option,
as it is very convenient and avoids filling the mail box. The method
of addressing may not be a glitch, Mystress, but it is out of date,
and not easy for newcomers. Not a very smooth welcome for new K
people needing a community. Times change, and even the oldest
traditions must adapt, yes? Whatever happened to Rome, anyway? :-)

Thanks for all you have done to make this a great place to exchange
knowledge and experience!
