Hi Horia,

Perhaps it is as with most things, including death, that the
anticipation is worse than the event itself. We get attached to
things as they are, even if they be much more limited and unpleasant
than whatever reality awaits us. What we fear is change, even change
for the better.

I am reminded of the story of the prince who fell off his horse in
the forest one day, got amnesia, and didn't find his way back home to
the castle. So he ended up living in a small hut and barely surviving
on what little food he could forage in the forest. Years when by like
this, and finally the soldiers from the castle found him and told him
they were going to take him home. And he said, "I can't go... I can't
leave my hut... What about my hut?"... It wasn't easy, but in the end
he finally got up the nerve to go back to his castle. Afterall, he
was a prince.

And so too are we princes and princesses, and our castles are
beckoning us. Sooner or later, we shall go home.

Bob
