Hi Wim,

I have been reading some of your stuff in the archive file and just
wanted to get back and say thanks for putting all that there.

You bring interesting perspectives to the journey. In the early days,
I read heavily in Theosophy, and Leadbeater was one of my favorites.
I later moved on to studies and teachers more oriented toward direct
practice, which I have needed to advance. Seems your journey is more
oriented toward digesting and savoring the awakening experience.
Might this imply you have already done a lot of practices in previous
lives?

Anyway, you have certainly had your challenges, and I appreciate your
honesty on all. Perhaps I am yet to face some of these sumerged
things. My hope is to clean them out from the inside rather than have
to engage in more undesirable outside karmas. I think there has been
some progress there. You have apparently had good progress since your
awakening. Vive God in us!

Btw, I did not know that Sai Baba had a sex related problem. Just
goes to show that no saint is perfect, no matter how high up the
spiritual food chain. I had an "advanced" Indian swami in his 80s
living here for some months a few years ago, and made similar
discoveries. I also am aquainted with Amrit Desai who lives near
here, who had his "fall" some years back. And then there was Swami
Rama, now gone, who had his sex scandal. All of these people helped
me a lot, and it turned out they were human. It really didn't make
much difference to me, as I got the result I wanted. Others continue
to be mortified, of course. That's the risk of putting your wellbeing
in someone else's hands. Well, now it is people like us doling out
the help, and we are human too. God help the people who listen to
us! :-)

Because of all this, I have a distrust for shaktipat, letting someone
else play directly with our inner energies. But I may be naive about
this, and missing great opportunities for both giving and receiving.
Any thoughts on shaktipat, and its transmission by imperfect souls
with hidden agendas, which includes almost everyone?

Peace,
Bob
