Looking into the eyes of your beloved...
you see a firmilar, safe place. The people in our lives are like
airports, we land in them. And, as we become more aware of ourselves,
we are better able to assit as ground control, to those who choose
to land in our hearts. Some people choose to be airports in very
rough weather. We depend on them to help guide us in through the
fog, rain, hail, sleet, snow. And, when they do not... this may
become a dangerous situation.

We must know our machanics (our ego's) at every moment, if we intend
to have visitors. Many of us expect others to know our coordinants
better then we do. These folks, look to others to chart our ground
for them. If the weather is terrible, this form of reaching out,
is impossible. And, simply a threat to safety of the friend who wants
to land.

Weather can be cleared up in many ways. For one, we are aware that
we have radio contact with others, so we use it to advise them of
the terrible conditions, and request they work with us in order
for us to chart the map and land safely. In some cases, the stormy
airports we approach maybe so under the weather, we have lost all
radio contact with them. If we are still prepared to land, this
is where all sight is mandatory. This is a crazy step. this means
we become not only the other person, but the weather of the other
person. We feel the wind, the hail, the freezing cold. We must stay
focused in 2 or more places at once. We cannot give into the
desperation of the other persons weather, or we will crash. We must
remain focused in the goal, our own plane (ego) and keep the radio
contact we have with others who will guide us by insight.

When we land, is a whole other analogy. But, this is how I see
empathy.

It makes me think of where I want my airport to be. Do I have many
visitors, tourists, business trips coming into my airport. What
is the weather where I am? Am I am good ground control for those who
visit?
