Boy, do I understand that sentiment Mark. :) Although I have learned
and am comfortable to do my heart opening and shadow work in public
(dont have much secrets at all anymore) I don't expect everyone to be
as comfortable as I am with that kind of vulnerability.
In spite of my comfort I do feel invaded when someone tries
to 'process me' or pry me open without my permission. I find that
when i feel a corresponding vulnerability and tenderness in the
person who is asking it does make it easier to do so but sometimes i
just wanta whack 'em across the head and say "stop it! do I ask you
how many times you don't have sex in a week?" For me opening up can
be private time.
But you know what, Mark? I am curious about your life. Do you like
gardening, or taking long walks in the twilight? Do you have cats?
Sometimes I think of the klist as a great family tavern down on the
corner where I can meet my buddies for a little socializin',a little
philosphizin' and some darts..oh, and a place for a little
commiserating and solace when things are a little tough outside.
