The Kundalini process is, according to my definition of it: "The re-integration process of the traumatized human that leads to his/her recovery and regrowth of original wholeness at the moment of conception." For any trauma to any of the seven layers of reality or a combination of them, (physical, creational/sexual, volitional, emotional, expressional/vocational, intellectual/inspirational and spiritual expressions of reality) the original being from it's embryonic infancy has an automatic self healing recovery procedure. Each of these procedures have their own characterics. I use this definition in my practice in which I deal with a wide variety of clients going through any somatic or psychic trauma. It has been very successful and comprehensive in it's efficacy.

So yes any psychic phenomenon is part of this recovery process and will after full reintegration cease to be a separate phenomenon. The psychic fascinations of a healing person that come with the healing of the more esoteric traumas are comparable to the way a medical patient turns his/her physical sicknesses into objects to be manipulated: "My third coronary bypass", "my asthma", "my accident", my fibromalgia", etc. These manipulations are a temporary stages in and of the healing process. One will find very many manipulative Kundalites... Cutting through the manipulative episodes is very often the last stage in the recovery of one's wholeness... it is also the one of the hardest... as it is so maddeningly unseeable by the recovering human.
Granted, my definition of the Kundalini process is rather sweeping and comprehensive but I found that it had to be if had to be the healer that I was asked to be. By the way, a healer is only a monitoring helper and hand holder in the healing process of a fellow human being.

Each of us are a unique set of knots when the process starts, and that
determines the nature of the experience. >>

Right on Joe, exactly!
As I wrote above, all of us had and still have a complex combination of traumatic experiences, therefore the healing phenomena are very varied and unique as well in their personal complexity, but there is always a common thread of love and creative energy that runs through it, most of the time symptomized by psycho-erotic characteristics.

>> I know, because I have been addicted to manifestations of psychic energy, which
result was a diagnosis of mania. Not accepting the wave with grace, or just
riding it, but getting caught up waiting for the next one, wanting to be on
the highest wave, wanting the fastest breaker. I was the waves all along,
each and every one, and I thrust myself into a frenzy trying to encompass
each of the waves in my consciousness.>>

A clear statement of a Kundalite who became aware of the manipulative and addictive nature of the painful episodes in the reintegration process. The onset and periods of mania are signs of the grace (however intensively painful) of healing granted to one's self by the traumatized person A strong, and in retrospect a beautiful as well as most obvious sign of daring and volitional restructuring that the regeneration process entails.

The cultural, historical, folkloric, religious and spiritual outward appearances and manifestations that one finds so often deployed, activated, reactivated and mythologized in "new age" settings are no more (and that is not bad) than replays of records and recordings (oral, scriptural, akashic) that have turned into objects of fascination that tend to take on a life of their own and have become more important than the sacred healing process they were a record or manifestation of, the sacred healing process: Kundalini !

Thanks Joe

Love,
Wim
