Funny, I have no calling or pull to follow any particular traditional
path. I have a lot of the abilities, natural talent you might say,
but none of the historical background or teaching.I might be creating
my own cultural context instead... a new paradigm for new times.
I am reading about the history and cultural aspects of shamanism
right now and I think I may take a few classes but to describe myself
in a particular way is premature. I feel no kinship with anything out
there. Someone whose knowledge and intelligence I respect highly said
that I am a solar shaman. I can't find much info about that but it
seems to have to do with initiation, kundalini, my tantric abilities,
DNA, and intradimensional travel. Healing is also a large aspect of
it. I am creating the path as I go. ;)

Yes I believe you are right. I read somewhere that you don't choose
this path, it chooses you.

I found the article on Science and Shamanism to be particularly
amazing. I am reading two books by that author at the moment and they
are posted on that web site. I did not know that shamans were
originally from a matriarchal culture. Fascinating.
