As you guys know I am one of those ppl. who tends to push viewpoints onto
list members, viewpoints that I know :-) if they would understand and adopt
them that then their troubles would be over :-).
Understand and *adopt* - I think that last word is the problem. In the
future I will hopefully be able to write in such a way that I think will
ONLY invite ppl' to CONSIDER my viewpoint... not to adopt it.
When I expect that IF they adopt my views that THEN their trouble will be
over, then I am in fact putting a condition on them... and that is the very
thing I intended NOT to do.
What a vicious circle.
I have not followed your mutual spiff, kindo' sorry about that. If I would
have I could have cast the ballot... "You are right and you are wrong".
Well, in jest I am casting that ballot and it is as follows:
"You is right and you is wrong".
I am not trying to be facetious, it could be that I am the problem, maybe
the reason I did not want to follow your discussions was the fear of me
having to commit myself, the fear to have to adopt a point of view alien to
me. The fear of being a "no good" IF I would not adopt it.
Are we allowed to step out of that circle of viciousness?
Can you two stop a second or two, stay on the list and take some breathing
space...
I always enjoy both your contributions to the list but I have to admit that
I sometimes am so self-absorbed that I only follow my own threads
intensively and gloss over "other ppl.'s stuff."
I am sorry about that and I have to be!
Also... :-(, ... I am always so amazed how right I am in the long run... I
am not kidding, I am guilty of thinking that...
And I am sorry about that too... and I mean it.
