Love covers such a range of meanings - (it is not a very precise word) - i
think that the polar opposite of some types of love is hate - the opposite
of agape type of love might be apathy, not sure, it might be a more active
type of disconcern for others -
a passionate detachment is certainly one way to go - like a qualified
non-dualism. it seems difficult to be involved passionately but be
detached - Arjuna had to achieve that in the field of battle.

ah there is always the exception that proves every rule. an innocent child
might achieve that, but for a jaded old timer, that is another thing
entirely :-(.

Or i am my own worst enemy and the first place to start is by loving
yourself.
On a another note:
Interesting that you asked goddess for a fish and caught a mud shark instead
of a salmon, somehow that seems significant. Your story made me think about
the symbolism of a mud shark, maybe goddess was trying to tell you
something.
