I hope I'm not too late, but please add me to the no list. As a child I was
given a lot of freedom. Some people say that was one of the reasons for my lack
of discipline and the trouble I got into in my adult life, but I don't think so.
We were kind of the weird beat nick family of the neighborhood. I found myself
in few situations that some folks would consider dangerous for a child, but I
wouldn't trade my childhood for anybody else's.
It took me a long time to understand how abuse affects people later in life.
When I was recovering from drug addiction, a lot of these issues came up in
meetings and I was amazed at the some the stories. Why do people have kids if
they're not prepared to love them?
I don't know. I'm not a psychologist or therapist. All I can do is offer myself
as a friend and brother in the Big Love Family. It's free for the asking.
