For those of you concerned, my dear friend Borough Mayor Jack Shay
has returned from heart surgery in Seattle in grand fashion. He did not
have to have major heart surgery; they gave him (another) angioplasty
(sp?), where they blow up little ballons inside blocked arterys.
I am so thankful for all the prayers & healing received for him the
past couple weeks.
Guess what he's done?
First - he gave his Suburu away to the mother of one of his
grandchildren, now he's giving his beautiful paid for house to them; all
his kids. The house is on a major bluff over the tunnel, so there are
many straight uphill wooden stairs to get up there - yet it is
*prime* ketchikan property with a stunning view. He's looking for a
trailer in town.
So precious is life - like each time when we are entertwined & mired
in the *moment* - we forget that life is circular, not linear. That NOW
is not forever, but just a thread in a much bigger tapestry.
When we forget who we really are, there is always a mirrored
reflection of our own mortality reflected in the seasons, the flora &
fauna, & in the eyes of our loved ones.
Such fr*ckin' elevated nonchalance seems to always reappear
retrospectively - like a ton of bricks which we forget to consider until
it's already too late.
Today I am grateful for the miracles which surround us each moment,
that each breath we take resounds with the miracle of life - & our
thoughts & words & deeds reflect our choices & awareness.
How is it we can maintain our personal power in the face of such
life/death chaos - when the spirit is willing, but the body is weak?
Does being a part of the GREATER pattern institute it's changes upon
us, or can we claim our independance & live our lives outside & be
seperate?
When we are faced with the facts of death, are we either/or mortal,
or immortal, according to our beliefs?
So many questions...when all I wanted to do was say "thanx for the
healing energies"...
