Thank you all for the answers. I feel much better. I guess I got freaked
because I will be staying in an apartment and not a hotel.

But there are Americans there so I guess I will know when I get there. There
is a consular warning sheet that is quite scary. Says the police don't like
Americans and the people don't and that only cash works so you have to carry
a lot of it, so why am I not going to get robbed?

There is also a state travel advisory that actually says beware of skinheads.
 so being in an apartment = being alone at night.

this is a lesson for me. I love you all and will be in touch when there,
hehe, maybe.
