Dear Holly and List,

While the following won't take your troubles away, it may add some insight
into the nature of the problem and kundalini as well:

Physiologic Concepts of Meditation and Enlightenment: Bentov's Model of
Heart-Brain Resonance and the Physio-Kundalini Syndrome

Meditation in general causes unique changes in the body both acutely and over
time that have been confirmed by various scientists...Utilizing a special
electrical measuring device known as a ballistocardiograph, Bentov found that
there were unique changes that occurered in heart and brain activity during
sleep states of meditation. From his research findings, he began to peice
together a model of how meditation causes lasting changes in brain and
bodily finctioning...
..a special system of tuned rhythmic oscillators in the mechanism of the
physical body which, in meditation, were driven by the circulatory pulses
coming from the heart....

<clip> the author describes in detail how these oscilations affect the brain,
creating brain oscillations that travel outward from the center of the brain
to skull, and back.<end clip>

In Bentov's model, sonic vibrations which are created within the deep hollow,
fluid-filled ventricles of the brain by pulsations transmitted from the
heart, cause a mechanical and brain stimulation of the overlying nervous
tissue.

The wave of electrical firing moves up through the sensory cortex from the
toes to the ankle, knee, hip, trunk, on to the top of the head, eventually
returning in cyclic fashion to its point of origin over the copus callosum."

The author then explains how body pains, while felt in the body, actually
have their origin and existance in the brain, and are caused by this cyclic
pulse of energy between the heart and brain.
