<< Bliss, to me, is not a preference, it is a state of being. And I wonder,
also, if it matters how this bliss is triggered--whether from the lower
"sexual" chakras or the heart or head chakras. I feel they are all
"God/dess" inspired. I know I experience the bliss through the lower
chakras, the heart chakra and the upper chakras. (Not so much in the
 stomach
 or throat chakras.)

The state of bliss is a desirable and enjoyable one. We are created with the
capacity to experience great joy, peace, and union, all of which are
expressed in some form of 'bliss'. While we should avoid overt attachment to
bliss or any psychic state, if would be false to suggest that which exists as
a part of us is somehow 'bad' or not intended for our use (ie. growth). As
the newly formed and resurrected man made into a god Osiris states in the
ancient Egyptian Book of Coming Forth By Day (The Book of the Dead).."For
there is no part of me which is not of the gods..." For the Egyptians, the
gods or neters, were divine principles or ideals. It was from the phallus of
Osiris that his wife Isis was able to piece him back together again. Hence
the power of life is for us to use as we desire, for either material or more
subtle purposes.

The experience of bliss takes place in the brain, when the hormones are
triggered. But what pulls the trigger..be it an orgasm, an emotion, or in
some rare instances a pure thought is what leads to the idea of special
techniques, and hence even schools of 'development'.

It is often said that certain saints were so filled (read: enthusiasm) with
bliss (read: grace) that they were literally lifted up in levitation. St.
Thomas Aquinas who is known for his scholastic writings, we a student of
Albertus Magnus, a famous magician. Aquinas was a large man, and is reported
to have been seen levitating while in deep prayer in chapel.

Certain ritual techniques can temporarily induce this state, as can
meditative ones, and with it comes a great feeling of 'lightness',
expansiveness, and sense of being 'lifted up'. These rituals are
fundamentally solar in nature and operate off of the heart.

Sex as bliss is well known, and the symbol often associated with physical
love, an act so powerful it pulled the angels from heaven we are told in an
old Midrash, is that of Venus. But what does Venus mean? The symbol, that
of the Egyptian anhk, or a circle on top of a cross shows that the inner
light, and life giving power of the sun (circle) is being transmitted
(vertical line) to the material world (horizontal line).

Here is also the suggestion that bliss is fine, but what are you going to do
with it? Will you keep it for yourself, or transmit some of it to the world
at large?

While it is often said that new age rhyms with sewage for a reason,
fundamentalism of all kinds is more of an obstacle to overcome than any bliss
could ever be.

Normally, I don't post this much, but it is getting near feeding time so I am
up<G>.
