Subject: [K-list] More on Music For Moving Serpents
From: Mhortling

Hello Kundalites !

Being something of a music-maniac, I've often sensed the profound effect
vibrating molecules of air can have on the emotions and mind. My first
kundalini experience actually came about through focussing intently on music
playing through my headphones (ok, ok, admitted, I had smoked some cannabis
as well...)

Anyway, here are some of my favorite k-amplifying musical masterpieces:

Andreas Vollenweider :
Book of Roses, Aeolian Minstrel, Behind the Gardens
(Electric harp, grooving rythm, classical sense of melody, beats so called
"new-age music" without even trying)

Ali Akbar Khan :
Journey
(Accessible and moving semi-Indian music from this acclaimed maestro of the
sarod. There's one track called "Lullaby" (I think), that actually made me
collapse helplessly in tears for it's plain beauty)

John McLaughlin & Shakti
Handful of Beauty, Natural Elements
(Breathtaking virtuoso east/west fusion. With a name like that... )

Voce di Corsica
Polyphonies
(This is truly God singing! If you like Gregorian-style polyphonic chanting
it's well worth checking out.)

One could probably go on and on - so many CD's, so little time ! :))

And then take the word "Kundalini" - doesn't the sound of it just ooze
mystery & grace and power ?

On the other hand somebody voiced the opinion that "kundalini" sounds like
yet another Italian pasta dish.

If it indeed be so, then let's feast upon that and partake of the sweet wine
of Goddess' juice forever and ever !

Bless you all

Michael
