I guess you could call us the Urban K Bunch.I manage the twenty unit
building I live in and a few minutes ago while I was reading Dan's wonderful
story about a birth, a tenant knocked on the door and I had to got out and
mediate a parking space dispute. Things were temporarily resolved, but I
came back in all huffy and grumpy just like the person who aired the
complaint. Then I read your post and felt instantly better. Until we can
somehow all move to Vancouver (yes, it is beautiful ... unique culture,
civilized people, the bright lights of the city ... all just a wing beat
away from an endless cool, green forest) this list is sanity and sanctuary.
Your words remind me of a Tennyson poem that goes something like.... I
can't remember, but he picks a "flower from a crannied wall" and looks at it
"root and all." And says that if he were to understand it, he would know who
God is. Anybody know this one?

Mia, I'm new to this so I couldn't say what is or isn't Kundalini with a
capital "K." I've never done K oriented meditations, read any books or have
taken any classes on the subject. Only since I discovered SEN on the net and
subscribed to this list the next day did I find out that I wasn't alone. I
guess my journey was more shamanistic. But I'm no wise man or tribal leader.
I'm just your average bloke who lost everything, had a very long, dark night
of the soul and had to surrender the fight. My breakthrough moment was
ecstatic, followed by an intense psychic ride with all the trimmings
including what felt like changes in body chemistry. At that time,
"heightened awareness" would be an understatement. Now that the storm has
settled I believe we have a new kind of awareness. Personally, I like the
term "emergence" because it's more universal and wouldn't alienate someone
who, say, had a powerful, transformative NDE, but didn't know anything about
chakras an other terms that give reference to Eastern practices. All I know
is that our roads seem to come to a beautiful, open meadow were we share a
common awareness.

 Lottsa Love,

   Paul
