I think I know what you mean here. In creating a goody two-shoes self image,
we polish it and can get very defensive, violently defensive if we feel
threatened by something foreign. It's the instant them-against-us formula.
I'm still getting familiar with what duality means in this community. In the
context of our above discussion, the good VS. evil, them VS. us world is not
a place I'd choose to live in. But in my own world, I'm an old fashioned yin
yang type and just as my candles serve their purpose better in the dark, the
crow's shinny black wings are more beautiful in the sun against a blue sky.
Still further, I would think that if the universe war entirely dark, or was
completely made of light, there would be no journey. We would cease to
exist.

Ah, the white washed, bleached out "new age" movement (here I go again).
I've always wondered why no one remembers a past life of, or channels, say,
a plumber in Kansas City, a weaver in Scotland, a farmer in Africa, or like
you have, a quiet monk or nun. Why does it always have to be somebody bold
and famous? A weaver or a farmer can have a life just as rich and dynamic
and full of love, high drama, strife and soaring spirit as any other human
being.

Points well taken. Oh, and the funny clothes and explosive chemistry
experiments? I remember them. How can I forget? Aaah the long days of
