Do you mean to imply that It is another ego who says that? Actually, I
wouldn't mind: if my legions of egos start killing each other, I'll be my
true self sooner! :)

The point of the exercise is that I don't get identified with it... years
ago I was and it was not funny. Now, I can actually observe what gave rise
to such a suicidal thought. It may be that someone rejected me or I'm
mortally ashamed of something I did or that my life seems so much of a mess
that I want to get it over with...

Once I manage not to identify with the thought, I am able to get rid of it
and move on along my path. for that, I need to realize that I am not one. At
such moments there are at least two of us:
- one that represents the part of my ego that dies and stays behind. That
ego has served its purpose but I no longer need it.
- one that moves on... until another part dies on the way.
Thus further until I am only one left, that is until I am All That Is, or in
other words, until I am no longer I.

Or would you rather me follow the physically deadly advice?

At least Angelique understood me! :)

She said:
" That's pretty funny, but not too far off base.. lots of folks do get
suicidal visions and dreams of death when ego-death approaches. A few
idiots, like those "Heaven's gate" people with the nikes and the poison
pudding, misinterpret the metaphor.. "

In fact I do not say "yes, Ego, you die! Me, I live on!". It was only for
the sake of illustration. I actually just imagine it. I imagine the
separation... and the ego dies from its own hands. It commits suicide. I
have nothing to do with it.

Thanks to you!

How was it beautiful?

One thing that amused me during the chat is that when some people you did
not know came into the room, you would exclaim : "Wow, so beautiful. You are
so lovely!" :)

Personally, all I saw was a name! :(

Is it that you feel the energy and you use "beautiful" and "ugly" to
describe different type of energies? Or do you see something in your mind's
eye?

Just curious.

I don't mean to be disrespectful after all you've done to me.... but my
local newspaper run a half page article about Vancouver (on the other side
of the world), saying there was increasing problems with coyotes coming
downtown and eating pet cats and dogs and even attacking children. The
problem being that coyotes do not make difference between preys. Eradicating
them not being a feasible solution, the authorities have decided to educate
the public: do not be friendly with them (feed them) but try to scare them
off whenever possible. (My cities has got much worse than coyotes: scooters!
lots of 'em!)

For the rest, I've never been in Vancouver, so I wouldn't say.

But that's all a bit off topic,

sorry.

Humbly yours,
Augustin.
