Yat ta Hey!Meaning? Its a good day to die!! Some thing native people
have used for a greeting for many years. Some thing native people
have lived with? Embraceing death! Yes I did ask for help! And any
insights. But in doing so I seemed to have sparked a bit of fire of
ego. Or my mojo is better than yours. I don't know. But I know that
there has been discoveries of NATIVE red oker burrials that date back
to ten thousand, and fifteen thousand years on the east coast. And
that there are Mayan temples built over old Mayan temples that
archiologist have not even come close to dateing yet. At places like
Tikal,Pelar and Xunutunich. And as for contemporary natives you are
right about a lot of them have forgotten more than they know. And
reservations are very bad places at times. But that is where they
were put by an occupying invader. And I also agree that for many
idealistic new age type natives and none native they hold a racist
Walt Disney idea of what I refer to as Uncle Tomahawks grand father
teach me the wisdom of the elders retch retch. And all of that.But
not one of those #*& have probably ever been hungry.Or had a friend
or loved one freeze to death. Or had a child beaten to death,or shot.
That is why only the human beings who understand to embrace death
understand more how to embrace life and the earth that provides
it. I am not sorry for these words but this is the year 2000
people can we be greater than the pain. Believe me there are enough
people out there who now how to hate. Evil is alive and well I now
that is probably an unpopular idea. But that is part of the problem
with contemporary spirituality no balance. Everything is white and
bright and go into the light. Well the light and the darkness are
complementing to each other. Tomas P.S.By the way I am native
american and NOT a card carrying member of the bia. And I have never
recievd a dime in reparations or any thing from the government.And I
wouldn't take it.
