Subject: [K-list] The Night after the Chatroom

The night after chatting with Angelique, I felt rather
energetic and decided I'd talk with a few people in
the imaginal realm. After visiting several people I
haven't seen in a long time and talking with them, I
finally dropped in on a couple of people who worked
where I do and I knew would be hanging out together
that night. When I joined them, they were talking to
one another. I said hello to one and struck up a
conversation. He alternated between conversing with
me and describing what I was saying to his companion.
He asked why I was only talking to him and suggested I
say hello to her too. I did, twice, but she wouldn't
respond. She did mention to her companion that I had
said hello twice though. I went back to talking with
the guy describing where I was and what I was doing.
I asked who was there, and he told me there were only
three people there including them. He told me the
other person's name whom I knew in advance was to be
there. We conversed for a little while about nothing
in particular, and my concentration was begining to
fade, so I tried to disconnect, which I had trouble
doing and only succeded by connecting with somebody
else. As with all experiences of this sort, I assumed
it was only in my head and was just a source of idle
amusement.
However, when I got to work on Monday, I found out
that at the gathering these two people were at, there
were only three people there. When I learned about it
at work the previous week, I assumed they were having
a big party with lots of people and I just wasn't
invited. The name of the third person present was
correct, and both people queried me, as they often do,
(one on Monday, the other on Tuesday) about what I
had done that weekend. The person whom I had the
imaginal conversation with took it in stride. The
other person, however, when she learned about what I
did, seemed to jump a little as if surprised. There
was nothing odd about what I did that weekend.
Wierd...
