In studying the History of Mystical Art, it can be found
that there are very significant differences in the portrayal
of the one to whom the label Christ is attributed ...

The paintings and drawings on the walls of the Roman Catecombs
in the burial chambers of the early Christians differ markedly
from the paintings commissioned by the early church,
many of which are now used as the basis for the iconoclastic
image of Christ as is often presented to us now by religion and spirituality

Studies by archeologists of the socio-economic conditions of the time
2000 years ago present us with other possibilities than are portrayed
within the English translations of the Bible ..

Studies of the etymological roots of scriptural and biblical terms from
the new testament scriptures give rise to possibilities
that fall outside religious and spiritual doctrine and dogma
based on biblical reference put forward as an authority ..

Different religious groups within the Christian Tradition can be found to have
varying understanding, interpretation and expression ... who is right?

And yet, comparative studies of various scriptures of different religions
of East and West, Ancient and Modern show that there is within each,
a metaphor for an archetype of a "self-realised" being ...
written in the language of the period ... for the audience of the time.
where the expression of that being is directly related to the
factors present within the society from which the "being" evolved.

Within the constraints of language and the keywords of the Christian
Tradition which do arouse certain resonances to preconceptions
and learned definitions, I see the Christ as a metaphor
of a consciousness which is existant within all people ..
and not as a person or personage to be aspired to
or looked outside to as a "saviour personage"

When viewed from this perspective, transliteration of the original Hebrew and
Aramaic text completes a picture which complements the Bible itself as a
book of metaphor rather than as a historical or religious text.

The Christ then, to me, is a consciousness which can be found within
when the archetypes of "earthly personality" find peace within themselves
(die to their own individual prejudices... their personality ego).

"Peace on earth as it is in heaven" is the making real of the expression
of this knowledge within the whole physical body .. as wisdom ..
or the embodiment of knowledge in action ...
and the physical body then becomes "the body of the Church",
with the full expression of the attributes of this consciousness
a way of being .. approaching all of life and all people ... not just
something
that is worshipped in sanctuary .. but something that is the embodiment of
that sanctuary. ..

The term Church is first used in the original text of the Gospels after
Pentecost
and thus could esoterically could be taken as the realisation of the
"embodiment of the resurrected Christ"
the expression of the "Essence of the Christos" in human form ...
the Dove descended ...

From this expression and "real-isation" (making real), the Mesianic
principle applies
to the healing (or making whole), moving beyond the dead cross of space and
time
as the full embodiment "Body of Christ" in all time-space continuums.

This is the possible resurrection of the physical body for every individual
who accepts the possibility that this is their own personal and individual
birthrite ..

Only by immersing ourselves in our own inner nature can we break
the spear or crucible of self judgement and so allow ourselves to heal and
be reborn.

The resurrection of the Christ is the resurrection of the Self from the
illusions
of Earthly Confinement to regrets and pain from the past and fear of the
future.
The immortality of the Christ Spirit is within each of us.
We each have this connection to the unity of all.

This Easter, we can recognise the power of resurrection is within us
and allow the possibility of our personal rebirth and the unification of all
