Subject: [K-list] Falling & well-meaning ministers

Hi All,

What does it mean when your meditating, or sometimes just falling asleep and
you get "that sinking feeling." like your body is sinking, sinking in the
floor at the same time another part of you...like your head or consciuosness
is being stretched way up...and the falling sensation doesn't stop or seem
to get anywhere....like a bottomless well. Should you stop the meditiating
because something is out of whack?
I've experienced this often on and off but never thought to ask about it.
Also, I belong to an alternative group within the United Church of Canada
that is studying the mytical side of Christianity...interlacing it with
Buddhism etc. and everything to get our rapidly enlightening minister in
alot of trouble (gotta love him).
Anyway....part of his new ministering is to offer a mediatation
circle...which we do once a week. He is very well-meaning but has never
heard of kundalini. chakras etc. I feel there is a danger of someone having
a negative experience or needing some grounding after a session and he won't
know what they are talking about or how to handle it..(like
say...ahhhhh....me last night falling down the well....I finally just took
my shoes off and rubbed my feel into the floor...seemed to help.) I'm in my
mid 30's but alot of these people are older and new to mediatation and I'm a
little concerned.
Any advice? Any material I could download that would GENTLY lead him into
these new areas?
Much appreciated and with much love,
Mo (Maureen)
