<<<The personality continues its programming, and that is the
struggle.
However, I know in myself that I am already that which I think I
"need" to
be. So I don't demand liberation from a guru, I am grateful for
whatever
leads me toward my own truth. That can include being apparently
ripped off,
irritated and hurt (though it's hard to get to that realisation).>>>

I love the clarity of your thoughts...:) In all of your post and not
just this. One book that you might find interesting is "Hell Bent for
Enlightenment"...this was written by a follower of Osho... She pretty
much mirrors my experience in its essence within a community of
seekers. Mine was only for a year. I think hers was more like 15+
with Osho.

The thing of it is that a guru will allways point the way to
liberation. But, it is never done the way you think it should be
done. EVER...and this means liberation from EVERYTHING...And they
will do WHATEVER IT TAKES on your behalf.

It is hard to explain the dynamic. A teacher will almost always do
the opposite of what you expect..and they have no boxes around
anything..So you eventually drop expectations..
But then you turn around and see that everything you could possibly
require is provided without effort or trust or expectation. So all of
your money attachments are squashed. I manifested a 14,000 dollar
scholarship by dropping my boxes around money..

They would have all of the novitiates move from a comfortable,
cherished bunk to another without explanation. You may be there a
week, a day, an hour and have to move again...and so you dropped
attachments around "stuff" and "comfort zones"....you ditched the
extra because you had to personally carry this stuff to the new
place...up and down some very steep hills I might add. This is just
one of the many creations there to root out your ego stuff.

Here is one thing I experienced. I thought love looked a certain way.
You know, light and warm a fuzzy and nice and caring; anger/hate was
wrong, negative, destructive etc. One was "good" and the other "bad".
This is all based on my own judgements, boxes, concepts, beliefs from my
past. So, within the framework on just this one thing, my head, my
emotions my beliefs were completely torn apart on that. I was left
with nothing to "believe" in. There was freedom in that, but what
remained and welled up was unconditional love but also, unconditional
anger if you really look at it. (Would you believe that Bliss can be
on the heals of anger?....I don't mean feel good about yourself, pat
yourself on the back ego happiness. I mean BLISS. An experienced
state of consciousness. But that is a story all on its own) And a
position within consciousness of being not one or the other, but
both. Not conceptually but experientially.

In the beginning, this whole dynamic can spin your reality and
concepts beyond belief.(:) If you don't get centered within, you spin
out...and out of the Ashram. It is not for everyone. And this is also
a part of the excercise. To be totaly centered and un-moved by the
"outer" illusions and creations. That is what Osho was about
IMO.....Things can get so apparantly crazy that your only option is
to go within or to leave. And then go deeper...and then deeper...It
was called "boot camp" for Maharisis...Those who sought the path of
the sages and not the path of the gods.....To be in that place within
where NOTHING moves you. You are centered in the truth in every
moment and not the waking state dream creation.

We were not "taught" much. It was all experiential. You cannot get
this from any book. A good teacher can only really teach from
experience. All the rest is head stuff. Ego. Concepts. Anyone can
memorize or glean concepts from books...I did..we all do. But it will
only get you so far and you will continue searching for the answers.
The best a book can do is point the way back to your own heart...or
explain something that is already your experience...One must also
drop the intellect for a time. It is almost always way too active for
one to become truly conscious. There is a difference between Wisdom
and intellect.

The real truth is that we are our own Guru. All of the answers that
our busy minds seek are found within. The Sahasrara is "the seat of
the Guru." Your own consciousness at which you must bow. You just
have to stop thinking (not thought), be silent, and go within. You
will be amazed. An earthly guru is happiest when he/she can say
goodbye....their job is done....Namaste Syena.
