Hi Tony
>Still, you cannot eliminate a desire by feeding and
reinforcing the programme, only by giving up the
addiction.>
______
You can realise the futility of indulging your desires and go beyond in
search of enduring happiness.

Osho ( I have read only one book of his) seems to be advocating that. He
specifies on concentrating on the sexual act with the mind, instead of just
savoring the pleasure to the senses mechanically, unconsciously. Conscious
pleasure taking is what he seems to be advocating.Once the mind experiences
something consciously, it may then seek to move beyond the obvious. He
explains the temples of Khajuraho this way, saying that the builders
plastered the outer walls with erotica so that the worshipper would contrast
it with the pristine purity of the sanctum inside the temple, and come to
the conlusion that thoughts about sexuality are something you leave outside
when you are in the presence of the Lord.

Makes sense.
