I wouldn't jump to such conclusions. It is true that his followers are a
zombi squadron; brain-dead shells of used-to-be people, who now need a
daily injection of vibhuti and darsan to survive; it is true that he made
all the mistakes one can make, but that doesn't mean that every bad thing
about him is true. Those who criticise him ad hominem are very likely to
become his followers when they realize that their criticisms were
unfounded. And that is not good. It's better to leave the man with his
human dignity, and leave him alone.

You forgot the false profecies that he made; by now, he should have been
the ruler of the world, with all the religions acknowledging him as the
embodiment of God. Somehow I can't see that anywhere.

Most? Who, Vivekananda, Yogananda, Mahesvarananda, Maharishi...? I can't
imagine any of them as "fallen". There were some ordinary guys with a big
ego and the entire western market to cover, who told people what they
wanted to hear, and amassed greath wealth and many followers. But they fell
down even before they came to the West to advertise themselves.
Not even the Hare Krishna movement's founder, A.C Bhaktivedanta, can be
attributed as fallen - he remained true to his teachings till his death.
The problem is, the people got what they wanted to get. Most of that was
crap, which was to be expected. The market had a demand for gurus from
India, and the gurus came, along with the "gurus". The forces of light and
darkness are mixed in this world, and they can be separated only by deep
insight and discernment. Superficial judgments like "they're all fakes" or
"they're all saints" won't do any good.
