Dear list,

The last post for tonight (and I guess you
are mightily relieved now):

When I was a young lass of merely 16, my romantically inclined cousin of 22 tricked me
into watching For Whom the Bells Toll with her
one evening this film was aired on tv.

I was mightily disappointed with this film,
most of all because there was no sound of
bells tolling in this film at all like the
title had promised.

However,

There is a bell tolling somewhere,
and it is the beating of god's heart,
a deep unceasing rythm vibrating through
all things and giving it a natural cycle
of being alternating with non-being
like aspiration and exhalation is in us.

It is a supportive and merciful
sound / vibration
as it is the being and divinity in presence
of all.

This is the ham-sa of the Indian traditions.

Listen to it and breathe with it and
smile. :))

Best regards,

Amanda.
