I have also been getting messages to get a job and move out of the place

Actually, I've never been in the situation you're describing, so I'm kind of
at a loss to advise you. My childhood home life was so oppressive I got out
of there permanently when I was 18. Are you a Pisces (by Western astrology)?
I get a sense of this or else a strong Neptune aspect in your chart. That's
Nagual territory to me -- very dreamlike and right-brain dominant.
A subtle way to gauge how receptive your art teacher might be to a closer
relationship with you could be through your artwork. You might do an outside
class-assignment painting or drawing with images that represent your feelings
and ask her for her opinion of it. Don't volunteer what it means or press
her in any way about it. Just observe how she responds. If she is cool and
aloof, that says she wants to keep the relationship formal. Otherwise,
something might develop...
