:) I have been thinking along the same lines.

It is rather self evident.

There are so many aspects and experiences that
spritual traditions do not give away to
outsiders or have not done so until recently,
Eastern and Western.

Only by practicing can one become acquainted with
these things, Kundalini being one of these,
or used to be.

The same is to me obvious about teachers.
The best and the genuine living
teachers today I suspect are both
extremely
difficult to find and they seldomly advertise
their services to others and
do not sell it for money.

But what should us poor guru less Westerns
do then, when no guru can be found ? ;)

As you say:

Which is very strange indeed, seeing that most
Westerners object to being told anything from
other ppl, most of all authoritarian
figures such as a real old fashioned guru.

I'll like to check out the site you mentioned
and learn more about the inner guru vajrayana
tradition.

Just wanted to add some experiences:

Two months ago I was hounded (and still is)
by some guy really wanting me to acknowledge
him as a guru. This I cannot do with the
result that I am being labeled as unable to
reach Moksha = going straight to hell
by this person.

Now this does not worry me too much, as
I for the moment set personal integrity
first and this one is easy to ignore,
but during the period of doubt, I was
given a vision one night of a guru sitting in
front of a student, teaching.
When looking and sensing
the student, it was obviously
me, but also, when looking and sensing the
teacher, this was me also,
or rather energy packets of "me".
Maybe just a translation of the mind.

But anyway, the guru and the teacher was
clearly one and the same.

It was a comforting image, interpreted as being
led mind and body by the energy, since this is
the mind and body and it knowing well the
directions where it wants to go.

Yet, the doubts arose this weekend.
During the night I was woken by another
message, of bowing deeply to the guru within
and touching its feet,
the guru being the Self, as it is anyway in all
real gurus.

Even the words "Now you listen well the energy !"
were heard loudly.

So I must say, I really do believe there is a
guru within in everybody. :)

Best regards,

Amanda.
