I am right there on that level wit' ya's!
Living on an island, the choices are extremely limited. There's
nowhere to go, but to churches or bars, so I never go anywhere, & never
have learned that flirtatious "come on" looks of the *femme fatales*. So
I just don't ever interact on those levels.
I've learned these lessons - the men who move me inside all run, &
the ones who are just platonic, eventually over-step their boundaries, &
become mean when I reject their advances! Like it's a real big *turn on*
for men when I feel platonic, but they head for the hills if affection
becomes more like amore...
I'm 43, & a single mom. My daughter begs for a "daddy". I hope
someday she can learn from my example, that NO daddy is better than the
WRONG daddy. And it's just not neccesary to jump into a relationship
because of loneliness, or financial duress.
In relationship or NOT, we all are called upon to deal with our own
baggage & self-realizations & self-loving on a spiritual level.Being in
a relationship that dissipates these truths is a waste of time &
attention.
It's like the adage "when the student is ready, the teacher appears",
& it's my guess that the same is true for romantic relations.
So, what's the answer? Anybody know?
