Dear Michael,

I don't know about neural paths, but the exploding energy I feel in the brain
doesn't seem to go through any channels at all. It seems to swirl within the
entire body and not infrequently cosmic "understandings" go with it. On the
other hand, the zapping I feel up my spine explodes in the brain without any
accompanying awareness. It may be of interest that Swami Shivom Tirth in "A
Guide to Shaktipat" when asked about Hatha Yoga says,

"In this method Kundalini is awakened through the control of Prana...In Hatha
Yoga, Prana is restrained from entering Ida and Pingala and is concentrated
at the Moodladhar Chakra. Mantra power is used to produce shocks thereby
forcing Prana to enter the Sushumna for ascension."

Different people seem to experience the energy in different ways, perhaps
depending on the source of the "trigger."

Love, Hillary
