Namaste All,

There are several levels of Samadhi, in the Vedantic
sense.

1)Being in true union with the Transcendental is
Nirvikalpa Samadhi, no attributes. This is also in
two stages Sahaja/destroyed mind, without ego. Where
one can function naturally in the world but see it all
as One. This is like a jivanmukti.

Secondly there is Kevala, with ego/mind, and without
body consciousness. However when body consciousness
returns it ends.

2)Being in Samadhi with effort is Savikalpa Samadhi or
with attributes,(Goddess or energy level). This is all
mind although it could be called merging with the
Universal.

3)Merging in the Universal and being unaware of the
world is sleep, yogic nidra or the laya of meditation.

There are variations on these descriptions but only
Sahaja Nirvikalpa Samadhi is the permanent true
realised Samadhi.

Love Tony.
