It's nothing to fear.

When reading about it I thought it sounded
horrible too, but if you know the involuntary
movements of kriya and how good it feels
when you finally get to do them and find
the right movement to stretch the energy
out in the physical body, that's what it feels
like, just a natural movement.

The breath drops away when it's not needed
and comes back when it's needed, it's not
like holding the breath and there is no
oxygen debt (which is the weirdest thing).

I think of it as the breathing reflex that
infants have.
When you splash water in an infant's face or
submerge an infant in liquid, the infant
will close the nostrils and stop breathing.
This is the basis for baby swimming.

To me, the loss of breath is the same,
a sort of reflex.
The Tao Te Ching talks about "making one's
breath like that of an infant"...
Maybe that was what they meant ? :)

The loss of body consciousness I think does
not necessarily entail fainting in
all cases.

I also believe the loss of breath etc
starts out small in the beginning and then
includes longer and longer periods of time
when the mind has become more used to the
no-thinking state.

Best regards,

Amanda.
