Sometimes I shake my head at the way we continue to
categorize and separate ways to return to Divine
Oneness. Quite honestly, I don´t think the Cosmos –
God/Goddess gives a damm how we return to that state
as long as we do.
Tantra means path. It´s just another way to return to
Divine Oneness, with or without sexual interaction.
But when people make love in what is called the
Tantric way, the life energy of a person gets
restored, rather than dissipated. So Tantric
lovemaking is one of the surest ways I know to restore
life energy to a person whose life energy is below the
levels required to sustain life. For example, if you
know what you are doing and you make love to someone
who is very ill, you feed them life-giving and
life-restoring energy that can literally stop the
course of a terminal illness in its tracks. The
experience goes so far beyond normal sex that there is
no describing the place you reach. It is literally a
transcendent experience. Rosalyn Bruyere, in her book,
Wheels of Light, describes this process briefly. There
are also very detailed books about Tantric practices
that are available and they have been mentioned on
this list before. The wives and concubines of the
Chinese emperors were taught these techniques and not
only stayed very much younger than their real age, but
kept their life force intact.
However, I would really like to know why sexual energy
works when spiritual healing may not. There is
something about the physical interaction that seems to
make the energy feed much more powerful and I know
this from personal experience. The answer to it is
somewhere in the Heart Math Institute´s research and
in what Dan Winter writes on his site. The actual
touch is very important. And it has to be done with
pure intent – unconditional love. But that can take
many forms. You can generate sexual energy and pour it
into a person, or simply express love energy that has
no sexual component and do the same with that. You
also don´t actually have to be with the person. It is
perfectly possible to make love to someone halfway
round the world and to have that person feel it, so
permission is very important. It is also perfectly
possible to do stuff like killing cancer cells at the
same distance. But since our concept of time and space
is an illusion, I don´t fully know why the physical
interaction still seems so much more powerful. So it
may be that those who exercise the energy, with
unconditional intent, rather than using a sexual
vibration may be working from their heart chakra
rather than the second chakra and this is what is
being referred to as a higher state of Tantra. The
vibration is certainly different. I personally don´t
care as long as the healing works. I used to think the
energy I give out was predicated by what the person
needs. In other words, I worked with what resonated
from them but now I am learning that does not have to
be the case. I do know, from Valerie Hunt´s research
that the person´s vibration comes into resonance with
mine…so that may be why the physical contact is so
important. It´s much easier to get the other person to
resonate with the sharable wave from you when you are
close to them. And no, just in case you are wondering,
I don't do this as a profession. I learned it more by
accident than anything else.
