Even before this, "Spiritual Truth" or what ever you want to call it
was handed down in an oral tradition
by the use of sound .. not words.

The words are an interpretation of the process
through the perception of observers ...

further limited by the perceptions
  of those who sought to translate the words

They are not the process itself

which cannot be learned ..
which can be experienced
which cannot be taught
which can be allowed
