To achieve, to attain, to grow, how ever one wishes to word it,
inherently requires something that must be overcome. There must be a
'something' between the point of beginning, and completion. There must
be some obstacle, or resistance, to be negotiated, overcome. Our
learning, growth, comes not so much in our easy times, but our difficult
ones. Suffering and adversity beyond our human means to alleve or cope
assaults the false ego, drawing us closer to realizing the greater
whole, that which is greater than ourself, that within which we are
contained as a part.
