Hi!
Tibetan Tantra is quite different from Hindu Tantra.
For one thing, the Tibetans consider the dictionary meaning
of the word 'Tantra' to mean: To Weave.
That phrase refers to weave everything one does in their
daily life, onto
the Path towards Enlightenment or Transformation.
I'm not sure about Hindu Tantra, but in Tibetan
Tantra, one doesn't necessarily use sexuality in the
practice. Rather, the ENERGY of sexuality is used. Many
Tibetan practitioners of Tantra are celibate.
However, when a sexual partner IS used, that person
must have trained for many years in training (training
refers to non-sexual, meditative practices) . It's
NOT a sexual free-for-all.
I once saw an amazing (and silly) video where it was
stated that an example of Tantric practice was two people
having sex on a beach while 'communicating' with the
dolphins
out at sea!!!!! Very trivial and plain silly.

Hugs to everyone,
Adele
