If you are referring to the traditonal feat of walking across hot molten
rock then there is a physiological reason for that ability. Although yes it
takes much guts to walk anything that has the potential to burn...the rocks
lose their heat very quickly. They are igneous rocks i.e from volcanoes and
gain and lose heat very easily. By the time the person goes to walk over
them they are fairly warm but not hot to the touch. This was hypothesis was
proven by the anouncer of the show as he performed the same feat. I saw a
documentary on ancient feats and such on the Discovery Channel and fire
walking was one of those things on it.
