hmmmmm. Well, first of all, I know of many pro-lifers
who do care if children starve. And I also know of wealthy
couples who anonymously give over a million each to help
raise unwanted children.
I'm always fascinated by the fact that in the States
people are so polarized on this topic.
A number of years ago, there was a Harvard lawyer who
traveled
to various countries to find out how they deal with the
abortion issue. She was interviewed on Public Radio, which
is how I heard of her. Anyway, she noted various European
countries that have laws that take consideration of the
individual
involved. (a thirteen year old 'child' who gets pregnant;
rape
cases; etc) and they do the pro or con bit case by case.
This lawyer was asking for the States to consider a
different
stance than the usual Pro and Anti stand, which isn't
getting
us anywhere.
As for those pickets.....I don't mind. At least they're
getting
involved.
