Dear Jay,
I read your words with great interest. I have some knowledge of Taoism,
but I didn't realise there was the idea of 8 bodies. Since you know more
about Taoism than I do, I'd like to ask you a few questions.

Where did the Franzis quote about being "a player of the game" come from?

Are you aware of the works of Mantak Chia? What do you think of them?

I have heard of a Taoist meditation called "The Circle of Gold". Do you
know what this is?

A friend of mine went to a Tai Chi Chuan class. After the class, in a
restaurant, the instructor was asked to demonstrate chi. He wadded a piece
of tissue up, put it in the ashtray, moved his hand over it, and the tissue
burst into flame. I'm trying to figure out how he did this - did he extend
his chi out through his palm, touch the tissue with a ray of chi, and then
send the energy of burning into the tissue? What do you think, and do you
know anything in Taoism which has to do with a technique like this?

Buddhists have the practice of Mindfulness - of being aware, and being
aware that one is aware. Is there anything like this in Taoism which also
involves the circulation of the chi energy?

What is your opinion of the Qi Gong techniques used by Falun Gong - are
they valid, do they come from a tradition or are they made up?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thomas Bradley
