According to what you wrote, the crumbling of ego comes with or before the
psychic ability. According to the Taoist Eight Bodies theory, the psychic
body develope before the phenomena of the ego “reaches its full potential
and then completely dissolved." I personally think that Sylvia Brown is
quite credible (I may be wrong here too), but she also started a church on
her own, which is what I thought as the ego reaches the full potential.
This is also true in many cases of cult culture, the leaders eventually put
their own faces onto the Gods they worship. (Some maintain their fullest
ego and never reach the enlightenment stage, but that's another subject).
The difference between the two paradigms is bewildering to me, can you
explain it?
